“I have been playing music since I was 13 and it has taken me all over the world. The whole time it has been about relationships, not about the fame. I just made a record with John Keane in Athens. I tour all of the time and opened for the Indigo Girls, but I am not famous. I am from Atlanta, but also from Seattle, Long Island and California. I was always on the road and never had a home until recently. I am cultivating relationships there and it is good to know where my toothpaste is going to be and to have happy plants. I have people who watch my house and my dogs while I am gone. Life is richer now. I lived out of my car for a long time, but when I was a kid, I hitchhiked up and down the road. It has been a strange life. I think a radio show is next for me. The trick is to be happy where you are. It took me a minute to learn that.”
